Terry Steiner is the driving force behind the historic rise of American women’s wrestling. As the long-standing Head Coach of the USA Women’s National Team, Steiner has led the program through six Olympic Games, coaching legendary athletes to a combined 30+ Olympic and World Gold Medals. Under his leadership, the U.S. women have achieved record-breaking performances, including a historic 4-medal haul at the 2024 Paris Olympics and multiple top-three World Team finishes.
A product of the legendary Dan Gable era at the University of Iowa, Steiner was a titan on the mat before transitioning to the corner. He was a 3-time NCAA All-American and reached the pinnacle in 1993, winning the NCAA Individual Championship and being named the tournament's Outstanding Wrestler. A 2025 Distinguished Member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, Steiner is widely regarded as one of the world's premier technical minds and a master of the "Championship Process." Athletes training with Coach Steiner will learn the elite freestyle systems and mental frameworks that have turned the United States into a global wrestling superpower.
