Brute Force WC is a charter club under USA Wrestling. USA Wrestling stands at the heart of this sport's growth and development. Being a charter club, our members are required to have a USAW membership, primarily for insurance, but you also get access to several resources! Whether you are a beginner, a seasoned athlete, a coach, or a fan, becoming a member of USA Wrestling opens doors to numerous opportunities. This guide breaks down the membership tiers, the benefits each offers, and how to register.

How to Register for a USA Wrestling Membership

Registering for a USA Wrestling membership is straightforward. Follow these steps to get started:

Step 1: Create a USAW Account

Go to the official USA Wrestling website and navigate to the membership section. You can create a master account here: https://www.usawmembership.com/register

Step 2: Create a profile for the Athlete

After creating an account, you create a profile for the athlete. Navigate to Manage in the top menu and select Profiles. Click Create New Profile and enter the athlete's details. If you have had a membership in the past, use the Claim Profile feature to link your previous USAW ID to the new account. During the profile setup, you can search for Brute Force and add us as an affiliated club.

Step 3: Choose and Purchase a Membership

After completing the athlete profile, go to Memberships. Under the Memberships tab, click Purchase/Renew Membership. Select the profile of the athlete. Under the Athlete option, click Purchase/Renew.

Membership Options:

Limited Folkstyle Membership - $20

This is the 'entry-level' option and the lowest tier that a BFWC athlete can get. This membership gets you access to local and state-level folkstyle-only events. It cannot be used for Regional or National events (like Folkstyle Nationals). You also get access to the bi-weekly USA Wrestling Newsletter. It can be upgraded at any time by paying the difference between membership tiers.

Full Athlete Membership - $50

This is the standard 'all-access' card and the most common choice for competitive wrestlers. There is no style restriction (can compete in folkstyle, freestyle, and Greco-Roman events). It is also valid for every level of competition (local, state, regional, and national). This membership is the minimum required to compete in Freestyle States (Fargo qualifier). It provides access to the bi-weekly USA Wrestling Newsletter, a digital subscription to WIN Magazine and home delivery of the print USA Wrestler magazine.

High Performance Athlete Membership - $120

This membership provides all of the access of the Full Athlete Membership. On top of that, there is a gear package. Typically, this includes a USA Wrestling cinch bag, a custom water bottle, a lanyard, luggage tags, a calendar, and/or a set of World/Olympic Team posters. The other memberships provide a digital card but this membership includes a plastic membership card. At some events, you will get access to a preferred weigh-in line. You also get access to an exclusive RUDIS storefront for USA Wrestling apparel not available to the public.

Open License -

This card provides the same benefits as the Full Athlete Membership but is for athletes over the age of 18. All athletes in this category are required to complete SafeSport before their membership is valid.

Step 4: Complete Verification

After membership purchase, new memberships may show "Pending" or "Age Verification Required." You must email a copy of the athlete's birth certificate or passport to the state office. For Massachusetts, this would be membership@usawmwa.org.

SafeSport: Any athlete who is 17 and will turn 18 during the season is also required to complete the free SafeSport training before their card is valid.

Membership Season

USA Wrestling operates on a September to August season. Each membership is valid until 8/31/2026. Come September, athletes will need to renew their membership for the season.

If you have any questions or issues when registering, please don't hesitate to reach out! We are more than happy to help.
