Liability Waiver and Release

1. Acknowledgment of Inherent Risk

I, the undersigned, acknowledge that wrestling is a physical contact sport. I am aware that participation involves inherent risks of serious injury, including but not limited to:

Musculoskeletal injuries (sprains, fractures, dislocations).

Head and neck injuries (concussions).

Communicable diseases and skin infections.

Permanent disability or death.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including those related to the facilities at Tappan St Gym or any off-site competition venues.

2. Release of Liability & Covenant Not to Sue

In consideration of being permitted to participate, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Summit Performance and Logistics, Inc. (DBA Brute Force Wrestling Club), owner and head coach Brandon Bruttomesso, coaches Steve Goode and Matthew McAndrews, and the Town of Brookline/Tappan St Gym staff from any and all liability, claims, or demands for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death arising out of participation in club activities.

3. Infectious Disease & Skin Health Protocol

Wrestling requires close skin-to-skin contact. To maintain a safe environment, I agree to the following:

Inspection: Coaches reserve the right to perform skin checks and may bar a participant from practice if a suspicious lesion or rash is present.

Reporting: I agree to immediately report any diagnosed skin infections (e.g., Ringworm, Impetigo, MRSA, Herpes Gladiatorum) or communicable illnesses to Brandon Bruttomesso.

Hygiene: Participants must arrive with clean gear and shower immediately following practices.

Assumption of Risk: I acknowledge that despite hygiene protocols, the risk of contracting skin infections or viruses (including respiratory illnesses) is inherent to the sport.

4. Medical Authorization & Insurance

I certify that the participant is physically fit to compete. I understand that a valid USA Wrestling (USAW) Membership is a mandatory prerequisite for participation to provide secondary insurance coverage. In the event of an emergency, I authorize Brute Force Wrestling Club staff to seek medical treatment and transport, for which I accept full financial responsibility.

Media Release

1. Grant of Rights

I hereby grant Summit Performance and Logistics, Inc., its owner Brandon Bruttomesso, and the coaching staff the irrevocable right and permission to take, use, and publish photographs, video recordings, and/or audio recordings of the participant (and/or me, if a spectator/parent) during any Brute Force Wrestling Club practice, competition, or event.

2. Usage and Distribution

I understand that these materials may be used for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to:

Official club website and marketing materials.

Social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, etc.).

Promotional posters, brochures, or news releases.

Educational or training videos.

3. Ownership and Compensation

I acknowledge that I do not own the rights to any photos or videos taken by the club and that all such materials are the property of Summit Performance and Logistics, Inc. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product and understand that I will receive no financial compensation for the use of these images or recordings.

4. Release of Liability

I hereby release and hold harmless Summit Performance and Logistics, Inc., Brandon Bruttomesso, and all club representatives from any claims, damages, or liability arising from or related to the use of the images or recordings, including but not limited to any claims of defamation, invasion of privacy, or rights of publicity.
